"Becas-M" is a multi-charge hunting shotgun with a moving forearm while recharging that's produced for the shells of 12/70 and 16/70 gauges.
The shotgun is destined for different types of the hunt in different weather and climatic conditions by the environment temperature from -30°Ñ up to +50°Ñ.
The shotgun barrel is detachable and joined with the receiver by means of a magazine catch.
The bore is locked by turn of a locking gib at the time of the lengthwise movement of the receiver,
when the locking gib enters into the groove of the barrel tang.
The hammer-type firing mechanism is installed on a jettisonable base.
It provides executing the single shot and saving the gun with the push-button safety device.
The tubular magazine is situated under the barrel. The forearm is fixed on the magazine body and connected to the bolt carrier with two control-rods.
The sighting devices are a ventilated lath for 680-, 720- and 750-mm barrels or separate front and rear sights for 535-mm barrels.
"Becas-M" shotguns feature the cold hammering of barrels and detachable bushings.
For increasing the service life of the gun and its rust-proof quality the bore and the chamber are chrome-lined.
For extending the shotgun operational functionality the 680-, 720- and 750-mm barrels have bases on their muzzle parts for installing the muzzle bushings such as "cylinder",
"choke", "half-choke", the barrel extenders as well as a nozzle "Paradox".
The gun is reloaded during forearm lengthwise movement.
Forearm, stock and pistol grip are made out of the selected Turkish walnut. For convenient shooting the stock is made with the paddy rubber butt.
To provide the safety the pump-action shotguns of "Becas-M" series have a button-type safety device and a blocking level,
which prevents from the forearm rear movement in case of contingencies (when the cock is raised and the shell is inside the chamber).
The pump-action shotguns of "Becas" series are completed with a set of muzzle nozzles such as choke, half-choke and cylinder, and, on a special order, barrel extender and bushing "Paradox".
